We know, this is new and lots of ways virtual events are being conducted. See below for our style of virtual racing.
No! While you won't be able to use the pre-chartered courses located in the city of Colorado Springs, you can do it anywhere in the world. Select the "Anywhere" course option in the RaceJoy app and start your race at your favorite park, along the best trail, or outside your front door and get moving. You'll still get to experience a special enhanced race with custom audio messages and tracking.
ANYTIME between September 1st - 26th. It's ONE of the best parts of our virtual edition. Remember to use the RaceJoy app to hear special messages while you run or walk and for easy submission of results.
It's a special app designed for the Colorado Springs Marathon, Half, 10K, 5K, and Kids K. It can be used on both Android and Apple phones. When the app is in use, runners will hear custom audio messages with fun and informative content to enjoy while you race. Learn and be entertained!
Download RaceJoy from your phone's app store for free. Search for "Colorado Springs Marathon." Select the event and follow the on-screen instructions to get signed up. You will be asked a short series of questions to get you linked up to the event. This is separate from your race registration. Select the route you want to use and run!
If you registered using RunSignUp.com, your bib number was issued at the time you registered. Pull up your registration confirmation email and find your number.
If you registered on Eventbrite, we assigned you a bib in the RunSignUp platform and sent it to you in a special email on 7/29.
Yes! Two things...
1. The RaceJoy app uses your GPS location to determine when to deliver our fun custom messages. The app won't work if you are using a treadmill.
2. You will need to submit your results manually. Go to the CSM Manual Results Submission Page, search for your registration by name and follow the onscreen instructions. Check out the helpful instructions in the RunSignUp Results Submission tutorial.
Yes. You can use your own preferred running, walking, step, or health app to track yourself while completing the virtual Colorado Springs Marathon. If you use anything other than the RaceJoy app, you will need to Submit Your CSM Results Manually.
Without a USATF-certified course and a live event to verify distances, this is just for fun, just this year!
After you have completed your run or walk in RaceJoy, a message will pop up within a few minutes of your finish asking you to submit results. Follow the on-screen instructions.
No. Given the "DIY" nature of this year's virtual race participation, we are not able to verify distances. So, no awards will be handed out.
However, we will rank registrants according to the data provided and recognize our top men and women in each distance at our post-race celebration on Saturday, September 26 at 6pm MST.
